Endodontics, also known as root canal treatment, is a dental procedure that preserves teeth that would otherwise need extraction. Often referred to as the removal of tooth pulp or nerve, timely intervention with root canal treatment can prevent both tooth loss and the spread of infection throughout the body.

Treatment Procedure

1. X-ray imaging
First, we will take an X-ray image, based on which we will decide on the treatment. We will also determine the depth and extent of inflammation of the canal.

2. Treatment of root canals
We will then apply local anesthesia to make the treatment completely painless. We will treat the affected canals, remove the infection and thoroughly clean the inside of the tooth using a microscope thus prevent re-inflammation.

3. Filling and sealing the tooth
We fill the dried root canals with a temporary insert and seal the tooth. These are replaced with permanent ones after a few days. We will schedule the follow-up treatment together.
