The main advantage of mini implants is that they can be inserted into hard-to-reach areas. Also, plastic surgery of the jawbone is not necessary, which makes the procedure less serious and the healing faster.
The disadvantage is that a removable replacement is required with the mini-implants. This means that the prosthesis needs to be removed from the mouth regularly and cleaned well. 1. Initial consultation and diagnosis
During the first session, we will take X-ray images and a create a 3D model of your teeth. Then, we'll devise a preliminary treatment plan and review the tooth reconstruction procedure together.
2. Surgical implantation
During the second visit, we will insert the mini-implants. Everything will be done using local anesthesia to make you as comfortable as possible. We drill screws (mini-implants) into your jaw, to replace the function of the tooth root. We will then take impressions to create a removable prosthesis.
3. Insertion of removable prosthesis
During the final appointment, we will put on a removable replacement for the mini-implants. And your new smile is ready.
