Dental crowns are now a common replacement for missing teeth or it is a process where we place a new crown on top of the tooth and create an artificial tooth. A metal-ceramic or zirconia crown costs €400 in Košice and from €450 in Chorvátsky Grob; other items are listed in the price table below.

We place the crown, either on part of the original tooth, or on a dental implant (artificially created). With the help of a crown, we create a beautiful and fully functional tooth.

At our clinic you have a choice of:

  • metal-ceramic crowns,
  • ceramic crowns,
  • zircon crowns.

When is a replacement in the form of a dental crown suitable?

  • if the tooth is significantly broken off or damaged,
  • with frequent fillings of the tooth, it may happen that only a very small amount of the right tooth remains,
  • as a final step after endodontics (after root canal treatment),
  • in case of congenital defects, such as lack of dentite (tooth surface),
  • and in other cases.

Zirconia crowns in Košice and Chorvátsky Grob

Zirconia crowns are made of zirconium oxide. Thanks to their material, they blend in with the other teeth and look natural and aesthetic, which is why they are usually the first choice for restoring front teeth. They are very strong and durable. Zirconia crowns contain no metal, so they are suitable for patients who prefer a metal-free solution or suspect a metal allergy.

Metal-ceramic, ceramic or zirconia crown?

You can choose crowns made of metal-ceramic, ceramic or zirconia, but it is best to decide based on your dentist's recommendation. In Košice, a metal-ceramic and a zirconia crown cost the same.

Treatment Process

1. Initial consultation
During the consultation, we will come to an agreement and together we will choose the shade and shape of the crown that will suit you best.

2. Placement of the temporary crown
First, we treat and grind the tooth. We will then make a temporary crown that replaces the permanent one for a certain period of time. Meanwhile, at HAPPYDENT LAB, our specialists will make a permanent crown.

3. Fitting a permanent crown
After about a week, you will come back to our clinic so that we can fit the permanent, final crown. Our dentists will also inform you about proper care.

How much does a dental crown cost in Košice and Chorvátsky Grob

The price depends on the crown material and on whether the tooth needs treatment before the crown (for example a build-up or root canal treatment). The crown is made in our own dental laboratory HAPPYDENT LAB from a digital scan or an impression; we choose the shade and shape together with you. The temporary crown, the scan and a tooth build-up are listed separately in the table. We will determine the final price after an examination.
